Hiya In All Her Grace family! Welcome back to the podcast, I'm happy youre here for episode 3
Would you imagine there are 11 days until Christmas. WOW. If you're anything like me and my family, you just started feeling the spirit. Right now, I'm recording this from Jamaica, and we've been on curfew order and lock down for quite some time due to the global pandemic.
So I mean, I don’t think anyone was really excited, per say.
However, our prime minister decided to lift the restrictions to some extent, which I think got people a little more excited.
Well, I know I am! Either way, before this year ends, which, quite honestly is TOOOO soon for my liking, I figured I'd talk about callings. Why?
Because often times, callings have a lot to do with resolutions we tend to make around this time of the year as well.
Yesss, I am calling you out. Where are those resolutions you made for 2021? Did any of them come to pass, did any burn in flames? I know for me, I accomplished most of my 2021 resolutions but this was also the HARDEST year of my life in so many ways. It was the worst year health wise and it emotionally as well.
But luckily, I was reminded that God is the only redeemer and through God, I was able to make the worst year, one of my BEST years.
Today's topic- Our Purpose Is Calling | Stop Rejecting the Signs
One night, I felt super restless, I was just feeling so many feelings of uncertainty, so many feelings of what if? I don't know about you, but before knowing God, I would fear the unexpected ALL THE TIME. I would be so worried about things I had NO control over.
And God led me to John 3 v 2. Now, now now. I do not know the Bible friends. I am not ashamed to say that. Well, let me clarify.. I don't know the Bible that well and I was led to that chapter and that verse.
He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
**Chapter Summary** John chapter 3 is one of the most important parts in the entire gospel. Many crucial ideas are explained in this passage, including the role of Jesus as Savior. After the loud, public commotion at the temple, John transitions to a quiet, nighttime discussion. These verses make it clear that Christ—and Christ alone—is the means of salvation for the entire world. This text also states that those who reject Jesus are rejecting God.
And I was just moved by this verse, not only does this verse continue to talking about the importance of baptism, but so soon after I baptised, I revisted this verse and finally saw that that's what it said.
For those of you listening in who've been rejecting the signs, whether that be, rejecting the signs to start that business or to take that trip overseas, to apply for that promotion or in my case, let go and let God, this is the sign you've been waiting on!!
It's time for us as women to go after everything we want, with all we've got. For me, writing has been so theraputic, including writing my goals and sometimes things happen throughout our year that tell us the exact things we should be doing. Kind of like re-routing us in all the right ways.
I thank God for all the changes, for the re-routing, the reallocation of energy, the restoration over my life. I'm happy for the signs, I am happy I'm no longer rejecting my signs, because who knows where I'd be without God's direction.
What are some of the signs you've been rejecting? Is it blocking you from purpose? Hmm..
I don't know. You tell me.
I can say, alot of the things, people and life experiences I was connected to were blocking me from purpose and I am so happy things rearranged the way it needed to.
I hope you lean into your calling and reallocate your energy in all the right ways too.
